FAY + BALLARD HOUSE

In 2014 Bauman led the renovation of the Fay and Ballard Houses on behalf of the university. The two structures are located on “Faculty Row” within the National Historic Register's Gallaudet Campus Historic District.  The two 10,000 GSF  buildings, constructed in the 1880’s, have been

completely restored and modified  to facilitate living and learning programs  for deaf and hard of hearing students. Bauman set the design direction for the  team of Dangermond Kean architects and ODESSA architecture blending the historic architecture and  DeafSpace design.
