GALLAUDET CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT VISION PLAN 

Gallaudet University retained HB/a+p for initial concept planning for its mixed-use development along the campus’ 6th Street corridor. The multi-phase project resides on six and a half acres straddling both sides of 6th Street linking the campus with the vibrant Union Market area to the west. The new development, including the university’s creative and cultural enclave—”Creativity Way” has evolved  during Bauman’s tenure at the university as executive director of campus design and planning  leading the project’s

 

The development is planned to begin construction of almost 1,800 living units, 130,000 SF of retail and 450,000 SF of office space in 2023.
